The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google’s latest superphone, has just been announced, so those who want to pick it up can make a beeline for the smartphone, be it online or at brick and mortar stores. Just how much do you think you will need to fork out for the Galaxy Nexus? We are looking at a $299.99 price point with a new two-year customer agreement, of course. What is so special about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus? For starters, it will be able to let you browse the Web, stream music and do much more at blazing speeds thanks to Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, where you can experience fast download speeds of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps.

Okay, you probably should pray for bigger things than a universal remote for your Android smartphone, but Griffin still has the answer with the Beacon. The Beacon was very popular for iOS, and the Android shift is welcome.

Microsoft prepares major update for Xbox 360 console

The BBC iPlayer will be added to the Xbox in 2012 as Microsoft tries to centre its console on entertainment rather than just games.
The big update to support this change will start hitting Xbox 360 consoles around the world on 6 December.
Microsoft has signed up 40 media firms to provide both live and on-demand movie and TV services for the console.



Bing on the Xbox lets people find all the games, movies and TV shows related to keywords
The update also lets people control their TVs by talking into the Kinect motion-spotting gadgets.
